  1. We all have been overwhelmed by all the kind words, love and support from so many people. Thank you so, so much! It has been such a life-changing blessing. Relationships with each other are what makes life a precious gift. I am challenged to not live life in the same normal routine of busy-ness but to celebrate life through love in a greater way, cherishing the people around me! I hope to be more intentional in loving people and making love known by love being shown.

    We are so grateful to the Owosso community and all the staff at Memorial Healthcare. So many staff members have been the manifestation of God’s goodness to us and have been exceptional in loving both Marcia and myself so well. We were greatly blessed during the beautiful journey over the last several years. Memorial Healthcare family: thank you for being a great part of life’s journey.

    My children have been amazing in this adventure. They have believed together in faith and cultivated hope well. They have richly cared in loving ways. They have laughed and cried in the Presence of God. They have determined to be a close-knit family of intimate friends. Most of all, they served and honored their Mom in extremely precious and intimate ways. I am so incredibly blessed to be their Dad and am so excited to see all the greater things that God has in store for these priceless vessels of glory.

    Marcia was my best friend in the universe and she was my much needed better half. She was my catalytic cohort in the amazing adventures of life. She chose me and she decided to believe in me, even when I did not deserve her unconditional love. Marcia transformed my life in a beautiful way and that transformation will continue. I am so grateful for the countless precious memories of her hope, joy and love. It is an understatement to say that I enormously miss her and am confronted with that reality often.

    In the midst of this unchartered journey forward, I choose to worship the greatness of an amazing God. He is faithful to take my hand in leading me, making firm each step forward as we walk together down this path. His grace is sufficient for today and that is all I can ask. His promises are still true and His love is still perfect towards me. I know He will do far more because of the riches of His perfect love towards me. That is the promise with which we lay hold of the future and cherish the gift of today, all the while we treasure the past that is a beautiful part of who we are.

    Blessings to all! BIG HugS!
    Love, David Skjaerlund

  3. I will always remember Marcia for her love for the Lord and her kindness towards people. She is spiritually insightful, prophetic and very smart. Yet she is also very humble and approachable. We will miss her dearly. We are keeping you in our prayers.

  4. I thought of Marcia when I heard this hymn:

    Take time to be holy, the world rushes on;
    Spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone.
    By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be;
    Thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see.

    Take Time to Be Holy by William Langstaff

  5. Thankful to the Lord for the example of “How to Stand for Healing and Miracles” that you folks demonstrated. Righteousness, peace and joy to you and your house.
